Shanklin Hall began at a music festival in 2019, with five of us imagining how to bring that same sense of art, music, food, and gathering home to D.C. Five years of pop-ups later, we opened the doors of our permanent home on 18th Street NW in Adams Morgan.
We're proud to be one of the few Black-owned, woman-owned cultural venues in the District — owner-operated, locally-rooted, and built with care by a team of native Washingtonians.
